How to use it
- Enter your average views. Use the median of your last 10 long-form videos so one hit does not inflate the number.
- Choose your niche and format. A 60 to 90 second integration is the standard. Dedicated videos cost more, short mentions cost less.
- Set your audience and add-ons. Viewers in high-value regions raise the rate. Usage rights and exclusivity add to it.
- Use the full range. Open with the top of the range and expect to land near the typical ask.
How the calculator works
Brands usually price influencer deals by CPM, the price per 1,000 views. The calculator multiplies your views by a CPM range for your niche, then adjusts it for the format, your audience and any extras:
Rate = views ÷ 1,000 × niche CPM × format × audience × (1 + add-ons)
The result is a range, because real deals vary a lot. The low end is a safe floor, the high end is what a strong pitch to a motivated brand can reach.
Typical sponsorship CPM by niche
These are planning ranges in US dollars per 1,000 views for a 60 to 90 second integration with a mostly high-income audience. They are compiled from creator-marketing rate guides published in 2026. Sources disagree, so treat them as a starting point.
| Niche | CPM range |
|---|---|
| Finance and investing | $30-60 |
| Business, software and B2B | $30-60 |
| Tech and gadgets | $20-40 |
| Education and science | $15-35 |
| Health and fitness | $15-35 |
| Beauty and fashion | $12-28 |
| Travel | $12-28 |
| Food and cooking | $10-25 |
| Lifestyle and vlogs | $10-25 |
| Gaming | $8-20 |
| Entertainment and comedy | $8-20 |
Finance, business software and tech sit at the top because brands in those fields get high-value customers from each viewer. Entertainment and gaming pay less per view.
What changes your rate
- Audience location. Viewers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and German-speaking countries are worth more to most advertisers than viewers elsewhere.
- Format. A dedicated video gets a premium because the whole video is about the brand. A quick mention gets a discount.
- Usage rights. If the brand wants to reuse your video in its own ads, that is typically priced as a separate add-on of roughly 30 to 100 percent.
- Exclusivity. Promising not to work with competitors for a period usually adds around 20 to 50 percent.
- Consistency. Steady views and engaged comments make you a safer bet than a channel with one viral hit.
Frequently asked questions
How much should I charge for a YouTube sponsorship?
A common method is CPM pricing: your average views divided by 1,000, multiplied by a CPM that fits your niche. Typical sponsorship CPMs range from about $10 to $60 depending on the niche and format. The calculator turns that into a price range for your channel.
What is CPM in influencer sponsorships?
CPM stands for cost per mille, the price per 1,000 views. Brands use it to compare creators. A $20 CPM means a brand pays $20 for every 1,000 expected views.
Which views should I use?
The median views of your last 10 long-form videos. It is more honest than your best video or an average pulled up by one hit, and it is what a brand can reasonably expect.
Can small channels get paid sponsorships?
Yes. Smaller channels with a clear niche and an engaged audience often get paid, sometimes with a flat fee instead of CPM pricing. A channel with 5,000 views per video in a high-value niche can be worth more to a brand than a larger general channel.
What is the difference between a mention, an integration and a dedicated video?
A mention is a short plug of up to about 30 seconds. An integration is a 60 to 90 second segment inside a video. A dedicated video is entirely about the brand and is priced at a premium.
Is this a guaranteed rate?
No. It is a planning range based on typical industry CPMs. The final price depends on the brand, the deliverables, your audience and your negotiation.
